  1. This is true. My T|X now can record voice with AMAZING clarity and sensitivity. All other abovementioned devices can as well.

  2. Dmitry – How is this even possible? Is there a mic hidden somewhere on these models? Please explain!

  3. I can tell you this much. It is a hardware mod, there is no imbedded mic.

  4. there is no mic in there but with a mic, a capacitor and a resistor it is possible to add it. :-) mine works fine. i placed it inside in the bottom near the battery and the hotsync ports and tuned its sensitivity so that it hears withouth me drilling anu holes for it so the case is totally unmodded. All apps that use standard sound manager work fone (voice memo, handee SA, etc…)

  5. Hello sir,

I have a palm z31 on its way. I am a young entrepreneur and I am getting some gadgets that might make my life easier. Are you saying that I can record voice on the Z31 PDA? If so, can you please tell me how to do it. Thank you for sharing and Happy Holidays!!!

    Sincerely,

    Vladimir Lessage

  6. I heard a rumor that Palm TX can be made to use a 8gb SDHC card is this true

  7. Hi,
as for the Z31, I have no idea, sorry!

As for the 8GB, I have heard this too – but can neither confirm nor deny it!

    Best regards

  8. Dimitry, I have a problem with my tx, the mic works well. but it would be thankful if hack existed that allowed me to transmit the sound received by the mic to the loudspeaker of my palm in real time… Gracias

  9. Dear Mr.Dimitry, The link to the video you have available to modify the palm so that it can record voice is not working. I would greatly appreciate it if you can send me the video to my email, or if you can provide me with another link that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  10. hi Sinan,
    I can upload images!

  11. Since the ‘rebuild’ of PalmPowerUps.com none of the links to the TXmic.avi (the video Dimitry created to detail the mic mod) work anymore.

Can someone point me to a working link? I’d even be willing to give it space on http://www.Canuck-PDA.ca if someone sends it to me.

  12. hm, folks, I’ll upload some images to picasa…. sec and lemme grab the link.

It won’t be the original, but it describes how to do the mic mod decently enough.
