Mostly you can delete files using the launcher but sometimes some databases are locked and you can’t delete them. In this case - many of you should know - you can try a warm-reset. You have to
press and hold the up-key, and then to push the reset button. But sometimes apps are still locked, or you don’t see them in the delete list.
For such files / apps, you need FileZ, the famous file manager. You can download it from http://www.nosleep.net.
Then you need to know the database’s name of the file you want to delete. The delete function of the launcher displays often the caption of the app which also appears in the launcher, but sometimes the database’s name is different. So you have to find out the name of the database you copied to your palm. But in the most cases the names are quite similar.
If FileZ doesn’t want to delete a file, you can also use the warm-reset. But even then FileZ can still have problems. For example, I copied the system’s sounds of the T|E2 to my T|C, and they are still active after a warm reset. Before you do a hard-reset:
Change the creator ID using FileZ to xxxx or something, and then do a soft-reset. Now FileZ should be able to delete everything. After I changed the creator ID of the system’s soundto xxxx, I did a soft-reset and they were immediately disabled. Then I deleted the files - and the system crashed. However, all files are killed and the system still works - without a hard-reset.
What do you think?

An other good idea is using an extended uninstall manager like Uninstall Manager from northglide.
Very amusing for me!
This programm logs the parts of programs who register not right to hidden this parts. Some parts I’ve seen were defined as parts of datebook.
But the warm reset deactivates this Uninstall Manager and then You loose!
Hi,
but an uninstall manager cant delete locked files IMHO.

You can tick the Recyclable box in the attributes in FileZ then do a soft reset. So far, whenver I’ve done that with a locked database, it gets deleted.
Hi,
the recycleable thingy didnt work for me…
