Many people speak about how Palm leaves the mind of the average customer. This may indeed be true-but most people still tend to asociate PDA’s with the classic interface of PalmOS Garnet and predecessors. Dallas Maxim does it in its design guides, newspapers do it, and recently, even CNET did it:

If you look at their “dream PDA”, you will see that it’s UI looks very much like a PalmOS app….
