MobiVoIP’s anuncement apparently breathed new life into the Palm TX modder scene. We already had an internal microphone some time ago, and now we get an ‘external one’.
The impressive thing about this mod is that you don’t need to add anything on the inside of the handheld. The microphone is all-external, so you don’t need to void your warranty to get this working! Also, it is very possible that this adapter will work with most other Athena machines.

This Brighthand forum discussion (started by a TX user who installled an internal microphone) also has some great examples of external microphones. There is some really nice work showing “clip-on” external mics made from sync cable connectors and microphones salvaged from cheap cell phone headsets.
