Seth Godin is a very popular marketing guy. His blog sometimes contains truly great experiences-and his experience with a mexican fungus could be interesting for most of you.

Godin was travelling to Mexico on an all-inclusive trip. There, he was at a buffet where fungii were offered for free. An american lady asked about what that was, and still refused to try it out(full story here).

OK, an interesting story, but what does that mean for us? For us, it means that innovations are not always accepted (directly). New technologies may take a very long time to get accepted as people are “afraid” of new technology.

In fact, both electricity and technology in general were opposed heavily at the beginning. People love the ‘classic’ brand or style-and if you aren’t this, bad luck…

Overall, Seth Godin is a very interesting blog that can easily be pluckered(50k approx file size). A must read!
