Hi,
I believe that RAM for the Zire 72...um...it is a problem and a benefit. Usualy, people will keep their PDAs charged, but they will expect a digital camera to survive for a long time.

It is a difficult question imho, but why should they redo the entire planar??

Best regards

[...] On new Palms By Bernie TamsPalm-the Palm OS Blog has a post speculating on the release of new Palms. I posted a reply in Tams’ blog comments, but I’ll verbatim them here; I totally agree with you. There’s been a lack of camera-capable handhelds for the past year. Zire72 is getting old - it’s most glaring problems are the sub-par 1.2MP camera and the lack of NVFS. Making anyone that wishes for a new Palm, to just skip the Z72. [...]

The LifeDrive is a different story. It could've been a major contender to the high-end PDA market. But it looks more like a flop nowadays. I would also think (hope?) that Palm makes this product line the uber-PDA line with the release of a nex-gen LifeDrive.

As for the Treo 700p - it's a must. If Palm wants to survive... the Treo is their main source of revenue. Sure there's the 700w but what about their Palm-loyal customers (me included)?
