In Germany, DAU means as much as Dumbest expectable user.

A german TamsPalm reader just sent us the link below-this is what happens if you let a DAU touch your Palm V. Lets only hope that the owner had a screen protector on the screen. If not, well, www.gethightech.com is waiting for you!

  1. Very similar thing happened to me. In school, one of our teachers was sick, so our lesson was cancelled. 2 classmates(girls) asked me, if i can lend them my PDA, because, they really like game called bigmoney. When i returned after about 45 minutes, i found out, they were playing it not only with stylus but also with a pencil. Fortunately, the pencil was not sharp. So my pda survived this 45 minute long hell with only few unnoticeable stratches.

PS: Of course, i was so dumb, that i haven’t had no screen protector in those times.

  2. Hi,
hopefully you had strong nerves. I would probably have gone hell bonkers…

The reason that I started using screen protecors was simple-my IIIc shipped without stylus, and I wanted to use it straight away. So, overhead foil onto it and hard pencil into my hand…..long gone are the days!

    Best regards
    Tam Hanna
