Thanks to the german portal Nexave, we can now bring you a bit more on how EQO Mobile’s skype service really works.

Receiving a call
The call is forwarded to your cell phone by calling you on it. The PC uses SkypeOut credit to get a voice connection to your PC, and then routs the data into the skype network!

Calling
The program reaches your PC by calling its SkypeOut number…so you pay the transport charges from your carrier!

Chatting
According to Nexave, Chatting happens via SMS(!!!)

Overall, it looks as if this really is a very expensive solution. Too bad that Skype doesnt share their protocol(at least the text part)….
