Using Tam Hanna’s app “MakeMeClie” you can get the FlashPlayer of Sony Clie working. You have to get files of a Sony and to copy it from a card using ZLauncher, it is very unstable and it doesn’t work on the most Palms – including mine.

Now I found a download at dmitrygr’s site palmpowerups.com called Flash Player Installer. You can download it here: Flash Player

flashplayer Free Flash Player for Palm OS 5

It is a self-extracting app which installs all needed files. It seems to be patched as it works on my PalmTungstenC.

What do you think?

  1. I have TX and have found the player to work great WITH ONLY AUDIO FILES (.swf). Haven’t had any luck with video (.flv)

Following what Scott said, I was able to play .swf files without a problem. If it said “Please wait..” I just tapped the screen and it started playing. Prior to the waiting screen a “Version Incompatible” message comes up saying “This content is made for Flash Player higher than v5 and may ignore some of the content elements”. If you say ‘no’ to ignore, then the file plays.

  2. You can play Flash Videos in Kinoma 4.

  3. Scott please guide me step by step to how to run flashplayer on my palm TX

  5. Hi,

    Try a hard reset?
Hold power button as you reset and it will ask if you want to erase all data. It will and you should be fine. Just restore from the backup that you made right before you installed FP and you’re fine.

    Best regards,
    Ryan Rix

  10. I finally made it work. I downloaded the flash player installer and placed the .prc file in this location F:\PALM\Launcher. Then click on it to install. Then put some .swf files in the following folder F:\PALM\programs\MMFlash. Then I started the program and saw that some of those files could be viewed, probably the others were older than flash 5.
