Using Tam Hanna’s app “MakeMeClie” you can get the FlashPlayer of Sony Clie working. You have to get files of a Sony and to copy it from a card using ZLauncher, it is very unstable and it doesn’t work on the most Palms – including mine.
Now I found a download at dmitrygr’s site palmpowerups.com called Flash Player Installer. You can download it here: Flash Player

It is a self-extracting app which installs all needed files. It seems to be patched as it works on my PalmTungstenC.
What do you think?

What’s the problem on your device?

Hmm, does it work in HiRes+?
If I now correctly, the original flash player files copied with McFile to the RAM work also.
I have no HiRes Palm. If it doesn’t work in HiRes you could try CodeDriver or MaxX.
The original files didn’t work on my TC, and not everyone has McFile or ZLauncher. So this seems to be the better choice.
Alex
I have it loaded on my Palm TX. I had to manually create a directory called “MMFlash” in the “Palm/Programs” directory on my SD Card and place flash files into that directory before the flash player could find the files. When I start the player, it shows a list of the flash files in the MMFlash directory. When I tap on a filename to open the file, it just says “Please wait…” Nothing more seems to happen. It doesn’t crash, because I can move around the various menu choices and I can close out the program and return to ZLauncher.
Any ideas, anyone?
Scott, I can confirm that. Perhaps the file size is too great, or it aren’t Flash 5 files (IMHO it isn’t compatible with Flash 6+. It should play Flash 5 files; perhaps Flash 1,2,3,4 too???). I have only few files working.
Alex
Hi,
I never ever used the app, bnut can recall darkly that the flash player is not compatible with most newer flash files(Alexander Gratz prolly has the list right)!
What about posting what works?
Best regards
Tam Hanna
Alex, it probably is the version of the flash files. I don’t know how to tell what version was used to create the files, but they were all downloaded within the last 6 months. So, it’s probably a more recent version that’s not compatible with this player.
Oh well. Hopefully, Adobe won’t completely forget the Palm OS with their new mobile edition — or, maybe someone will figure out how to get Flash Lite to run on Palm OS.
On Zodiac, I got a reset, with message “Flash Player is missing signature …”. I tried with PopAccess or MakeMeClie (or nothing) but it didn’t work.
I don’t know Adobe’s mobile version, but I will have a look at it. In the Palmpowerups.com forum there’s a thread about the flash player and how to convert Flash 6 to Flash 5…
IMHO The Zodiac requires apps that are signed by Tapwave… But there is an app which deletes that… I have no Zodiac so I can’t help very much here
Alex
Does it run in fullscreen?
As said, I have no 320×480 device.. If not, try CodeDriver or Maxx.
It is 320×320 only. And as stated, it requires Flash 5 or lower to work properly; otherwise, you just get the “Please Wait…” message. Maybe someone would post a URL to a flash file that’s known to work?
Have been testing it with several SWF files, but as Scott (no. 5) have said, it just hangs at the Please Wait screen.
Doesn’t work for me, I just get a message saying not enough memory. How can I uninstall it?
great !!! very good, but have a some problems, for example, it doesn’t play a heavy flash, sometimes you have to try many times open the file, is the best flash player to palm non-sonyclie (the only one)
Seems to run on my Treo650.. but when I load a swf file on my sd card I get ‘NO CONTENTS’ What folder do I put the files into?? THIS IS AMAZING!
Ok got it running good Yea you have to figure out what version it is…
And the memory of the swf file cannot exceed internal memory minus running apps!
Hi!
I have a Palm Zire 72S.
As I copy swf files to my SD card,
they are deleted by the palm itself.
Why is this happening?
How do you copy them there?
i tried two times:
first with softick card export…
and managed the files in windows explorer
with palm attached to usb.
after I tried to use the zLauncher file manager.
but… no success…
please… how´d you take swf inside the sd card
without been deleted automatically?
thanx in advance
i can see the flash aplication on my treos 650 but, i can not put swf on this via HotSync
can you help me please
thnx
Just get a message saying there isn’t enough memory, how would I uninstall it? >>;
Doesnt work on Tungsten E2 =(
Hi Alex,
Thank you for the player,
I have Zire 72, i am not able to view files
it says No contents.
Can you help plaeas.
Thank you
Mohan
anyone knows if i can get a flash player/plugin to work on the Palm Life Drive?
thanks!!!!!
I used the flashplayer installer on my Palm TX.
Just an update for those that get to the “Please Wait” screen. DB Cache needs to be cleared out before using the Flash player. I use MemInfo to clear out the DBCache. There are other programs like UDMH that do the same. Once I did that the swf worked. Now all those flash files I have from my Clie work on the TX.
The thread at TreoCentral by gfunkmagic has good info on how to make the player work.

hey i’ve got a PALM TX and i just istalled the only problem is how do i get the flv files to show as it just keeps on saying NO CONTENTS.PLEASE WHAT DO I DO?
i have the same problems, find out anything yet?
install .swf files (not sure of flv’s) to /palm/programs/MMFlash
Work sfor me, up to flash 5’s
I’ve got a Mac & a TX. I generally install files via Drag’n'tooth, a nice Bluetooth installer. However, I can’t install swf files – it gives me a ‘this file type is not understood’ when I try.
Is there another way around this or can I edit my system to recognize these somehow? I’ve restarted after installing the app.
I’d prefer to have them on my Palm but I’m going out this weekend to buy a card as there are some great swfs I want/need NOW.
Cheers
I love the game flash elements TD, however, it is written in flash 6 or higher and thus I get the please wait… and nothing more. Anyone know how to convert the files to flash 5?
@buzz, Download resco explorer, goto ctrl panel, associations. You will create/edit .swf extension, then make /PALM/Programs/MMFlash as your hotsync directory for it. Enjoy
@D-Dog: i doubt it… if there is i’d love to see it.
If you have the Life Drive and get sound but no picture. Try reseting the device. If it still doesn’t work then flip the screen then open it then flip the screen again. It should work. But it won’t work with flash 6 or higher. It must be 5 or lower. I’ll see if i can get someone i know to crack it and make it be able to handle 6 but I don’t think I know anyone that can do that. But I’ll try.
does anyone know how to get this working as a plugin for blazer?
Nope
idiot thingy.. (or idiot me):
@mutaku817: IMHO it is not possible to do this. Sorry… (blame a-d’oh-be)
If you know that the FLash object is Flash 5 or less (I used less than sign before I guess) you can save the page source (this is a menu item if you have the PalmOS Easter Egg enabled) and find the URL in the source (in the memos app) and copy the URL to the swf file) at this point you can use a download manager to save to your MMFLash folder and have at it!
alrighty..i just got a palm T/X and im really happy to have it but i was wondering does anyone know why or how or anything concerning flash player and the device. I really want to see videos on my palm t/x but without flash player i cant. cant anyone please help me i would really appriciate it. My email address is steven5225@gmail.com. Feel free to email me their please…anybody.
On my Palm TX II,it can’t work. When i play the flash file,it popup a message box:”There is not enough memory to play this content.”,But.i assurance my SD card has enouth memory…
I think your problem is not the SD card memory, but the internal one (not your data memory… this one is called “Dynamic Heap”). Perhaps you can increase it using UDMH.
hi, there I download this file a few weeks ago and never work on my Tungsten E2, now I read that Scott need to create the MMFlash direcotery on the SDcard, now, this app work just great even swf files with sound, and some flv files… this app is OK.
Can you please update the link or upload the file somewhere else? 404
I tried to install flashplayer on my zire 71. It installed but there is not enough memory to use it. How do I uninstall it?
You can try UDMH, perhaps then it will run.
To uninstall it: MMFlash and MMFlashLib should be deleted.
please, any body can help me, to find a website to download flash-player to my palm LF os5,
thank you
Thanks for your information, the link seems to have changed:
http://palmpowerups.com/downloads.php?cat_id=2
I will try this on my GSM treo 650.
It works, and I see no problems.
We need an innovatine chap to write this as a flash plugin for Blazer or miniOpera or Xiino..so I can watch and listen to Rush Limbaugh live on my Treo 755p!
I have TX and have found the player to work great WITH ONLY AUDIO FILES (.swf). Haven’t had any luck with video (.flv)
Following what Scott said, I was able to play .swf files without a problem. If it said “Please wait..” I just tapped the screen and it started playing. Prior to the waiting screen a “Version Incompatible” message comes up saying “This content is made for Flash Player higher than v5 and may ignore some of the content elements”. If you say ‘no’ to ignore, then the file plays.
You can play Flash Videos in Kinoma 4.
Scott please guide me step by step to how to run flashplayer on my palm TX
okay… i have a problem… u see… i installed it, installed it into my device, now.. my device crashes ALWAYS! meaning it just wont stop reseting!!! im waiting for this thing to discharge, but is taking me like 2 days, any1 know a way to erase everything on it and replace it? or at least how to repair this? because it goes thru the orange loading screen, then a gray palm screen with no loading, then resets!! i hv a T/X btw, i tried reset button, on/off button, every button, touchscreen, nothing… plz.. i rly need help :0
Hi,
Try a hard reset?
Hold power button as you reset and it will ask if you want to erase all data. It will and you should be fine. Just restore from the backup that you made right before you installed FP and you’re fine.
Best regards,
Ryan Rix
oh, very much like thx ryan! i didnt even knew this thing had hard reset o.0 the pack doesnt seem to have other instructions other than how to synch or how to buy more stuff from them >.>
you are a real life saver!! :3
Hi,
I just installed the program in my Treo 650. But all the files that I have for Flash, and that I want to see in the Treo, have a .exe extension… how do I translate it into a .swf file?
Thanks!
sweeet, installed it on my Centro, screen wont turn on, all the button lights are on…cant do anything cept a hard reset, which i am not trying to do right now. help?
ola! tudo bem.este site e bem legal mas eu tenho um palm os treo 680 e ñ achei nada para ele estou tendando achar o flash player, por alguem pode me socorrer. desde ja eu agradeco.
I finally made it work. I downloaded the flash player installer and placed the .prc file in this location F:\PALM\Launcher. Then click on it to install. Then put some .swf files in the following folder F:\PALM\programs\MMFlash. Then I started the program and saw that some of those files could be viewed, probably the others were older than flash 5.
works great on Tungsten T5
