I am personally very fond of Eric Sink’s articles on various aspects of the software world. In fact, expect a review of his book on TamsPalm very soon!

Anyways, Erics latest article covers all aspects of licences, trademarks and copyrights. For example, did you know that putting ™ after a name works? Or, did you know that software patents take more than a year to clear?

The post is very short, but a must read nevertheless – so have fun:

One Response to “On trademarks, patents and licences”

  1. If you support the rights of intellectual property owners, how do you justify the way you took and used an UNLICENSED version of Picsel Browser on your PDA?
