People who know me for a long time know that I am using my current email address for more than a few years now – in fact, I had it long before I got a Palm OS device. A long time ago, I signed myself up for RiddleADay – and today, they sent me this thing:

___________________ YESTERDAY’S RIDDLE: ___________________

Nick the marathon man timed himself and found out that if he wore a bright white outfit he ran 20 miles in 80 minutes, but when he wore a dark outfit, he ran 20 miles in one hour and twenty minutes. What does this mean for his next race?

YESTERDAY’S ANSWER:
Absolutely nothing, as 80 minutes equals an hour and twenty minutes.

Hmmm. Somehow, this reminds me of an old austrian marketer’s trick. In austria, bundle sales are very common(in order to motivate people to buy more than one piece). So, for example, if you buy four cans of Full Speed, you get a fifth one free. And now, some marketers do what’s shown below:

1 Full Speed:1$
5 Full Speed: 5$

Don’t ask me if it is honest or if it works – other people should decide about that. However, I just wanted to point it out because I found it interesting!
