I have my Treo 600 for about 5 days now – what should I say, it is an impressive box. Many of you will now wonder how my Gadget landscape has changed – here are the current contents of my trouser pockets:

  • Palm Tungsten T3
  • Palm Treo 600
  • Sony CyberShot DSC-N1

When you compare that to before, you see that the Erricson T68i(mobile phone) was replaced by the Treo 600 – however, the Palm Tungsten T3(PDA) is still here… . But lets now look at the image below:

 Whats a Treo 600

The Palm Tungsten T3 IMHO is more of a notebook, while the Treo 600 is more of a mobile phone. So, if you want to get some heavy work done, its the Tungsten T3′s turn(with Belkin Wireless Keyboard). But if you want to do some typing or phoning, the Treo 600 excels.

For me, the physically big screen was the main reason I took the T3 – it is not a matter of resolution, but rather of the format and the sheer physical hugeness. So, “crossgrading” is not an option here – if Palm stops producing new PDA’s I would defect to somewhere else… . The Treo is a good communicator – but not a place I woud want to edit my spreadsheets on…

What do you think?

  1. Love the T3, but ever since I got my Treo 650, it’s just been sitting there at home. The Treo 650 is perfect for me as I’ve loaded it up with so many programs, and in many ways it’s an evolutionary step up from my T3 use. Granted, the screen is tiny, but productivity has shot through the roof.

  2. Hi AJ;
    to be honest, I also love the keyboard of the Treo – thats my main productivity booster.

    However, I need a big screen and strong CPU for things like reading and playing media and so on…

    Best regards
