Dear Readers,
Alexander and I would be very thankful if you could help us decide. TamsPalm recently began to cover more than just Palm OS news(stuff like marketing, public relations, employee management, etc).
This has worked well so far, but recent reader complaints made me think about splitting TamsPalm into:
- TamsPalm – the Palm OS blog
- TamsMicroISV – the Micro ISV blog, all non-Palm stuff(beta testing, UI design, etc too) would go here
Should we split the blogs up, or should we keep them together. Please tell us what you think!

I would recommend just keeping one blog, and just redefine your categories. It’s much easier to keep track of what you’re doing that way!

I think you should not split the blog.
Maybe a short and easy to remember URL which jumps directly into the palm categorie(s) would be a good work-around.
PS: Maybe an additional palm-only rss-feed would be a good idea, too.

Something tells me that what you suggest would take quite a bit of modification to WordPress.
So most of you say not to split TamsPalm. Well, my idea is to do some modifications to the WordPress software and to move all offtopic posts in one big category, which is only displayed to those who like it. If this was possible, it’s probably the best idea. We’ll have a look at it as soon as possible.

There has been too many various articles lately, and my opinion is that they reduce the interest of the blog. Beta testing, UI design is still nice and can apply to the PalmOS blog.

Tamspalm is known for good reviews and such things but there’s too much “noise” (ie too much unrelated an uninterresting) postings that push the important posts down too fast.
No company will supply samples for a review that can be read on the first page for about a day…. Forget the “previous entries”-Button,
it’s page one that matters most.
Oh, and BTW: Your new stylesheet looks excellent. Very good work.
Keep them together, do not split.
I enjoy your editing/inclusion of interesting stuff because it’s, well…, interesting!

Sure, it’s not just Palm, or just UI design or just Beta testing… it’s… just TamsPalm
If you do decide to split, I would argue for some kind of category system (there seem to be lots of good suggestions already posted) that would allow us to still access the true (whole) TamsPalm.

As for number one, I have now changed the WordPress settings that posts stay on the front page for at least 7 days now. Is this an improvement?
As for number two, Alexander Gratz and I currently think about what can be done!
