On Freewarepalm.com, I discovered KMeteo, a free weather client for Palm OS. It displays the weather of your city of today and the next ten days.

First, you have to know the code of your city. When you go to http://weather.yahoo.com you can choose your country. When you see your city (or the next major city), open that link. For example, the German city Konstanz has the link http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/GMXX0254.html . In that case, you would need the city code GMXX0254. The preferences page also has an option for an automatic update.
I think there could be some more features. What about more than one city? Or an automatic detection of the city code? But it’s a nice start for an application, which is – imho – the first free weather application for Palm OS.

  1. Hey … Thanks !

It’s a beta version … more features is planned.

For the moment i try to implement an automatic detection of the city code. :)

Then i ll make an traduction implementation other language like french.

For information, data provides from weather.com and city code too, but like you know, weather.yahoo.com use the same city code. I think there is a standart.

  5. Khertan, does it work for Palm Centro? I tried to install your app and it failed, not sure why.

I really love the app and I would appreciate anybody’s help on this.

  6. I can’t get it to work on my Centro either. All I get is a bunch of degree symbols.
