Dear Wiki readers,
after a long and hard negotiation with our former web host, I have now received confirmation that we have no chance of recovering the original wiki data.
Now, the question is:
Should we kick our former web hosts ass?
I am not sure if it pays out – after all, kicking such a company’s hide takes a lot of work. Work time, which I cannot invest into churning out more reviews for you.

I would at least file a complaint through a better business bureau, if there is one that covers the host.
Then again, they probably hold you (the account holder) responsible for having a backup of your site data in the hosting contract.
It’s a crappy situation one way or the other.
Hi,
this host sits somewhere in Uruguay – and they dont give a fuck(sic).
They essentially live off customers who want ultracheap hosting – and that prolly was my mistake..
A newspaper offered to publish my story – but gathering all that is – IMHO – a huge bit of work.
Fights are fun – but Im not sure if it pays!
