F-Secure did some more research on the MMS exploit for PocketPC phones that was published a few days ago. First of all, the shellcode needs to be designed for a specific device type, so a virus from an MDA will probably not work on an ipaq or a Palm Treo running Windows Mobile.

The affected component Arcsoft MMS composer has already been updated, but a few device vendors didn’t get around to offering ROM updates yet.
