I am now in Dublin for the second day – and felt like checking out local handheld prices and points of sale. The Palm TX doesn’t cost much nowadays, and being able to use Wifi while leaving the heavy notebook at home sounds cool.

But tough luck – I checked 50 electronics stores and most of them didn’t even know what a PDA; let alone what a Palm TX or Palm Treo 680 is. On the other hand, quite a few people asked me about what that yellow thing I use is(custom Palm TE2) and liked the idea.

Let’s see if Palm can concentrate a bit on Ireland – the market definitely is under supplied there(didn’t see a single PDA)…

  2. Zinzan I think (lives in Dublin) has reported prices to be absurd in Ireland.

  3. I do indeed – and the prices are absurd! I’ve contacted Tam, hopefully try to meet up on Saturday though I’ve got to go away that afternoon so it’s not definite yet..
