Probably, no one in the Palm OS world still doubts the existence of Palm’s new CDMA Treo aka 755p. We already had pictures of the red Treo, leaked Sprint roadmaps and even a giveaway announcement from GX5.

Anyways, a member of SprintUsers.com working in a Sprint store recently received the display unit of the blue Treo 755p(standard edition – the red one will not be available in all stores). Sprint’s display units are non-functional, so there are no action shots.

Nevertheless, the launcher shot shown shows a few new applications. First of all, the Downloads app could mean that Palm has finally managed to get background downloading working like on a HP ipaq rx4240. Other notable new items are IM, Google Maps, SprintTV and On Demand…probably, my US collegues will get you the full scoop on these as soon as the 755p ships.

For now, all I can offer you is the link to the pictures – what do you think?
