Update: Palm doesn’t give away one unit each to five people. Instead, it will give out all five units to one person!
According to the German news service Nexave, Palm plans to release a new smartphone on the 12th and will give away five units for free to people who register on the German palm web site.
Indeed, visiting Palm Germany reveals the following button:
Translated, it says as much as be among the first to find out about a new Palm smart phone on the 12th of September, and win one of them. Clicking onto the button takes you to a web site where you can register yourself by entering your email address. No further information about the machine is given, except that it is said to have a full keyboard…
I think that we are seeing the pre-run for the release of some kind of Centro device – either, it will be the Windows Mobile version or the Palm OS version(less likely…Sprint exclusivity). Anyways, we will keep you posted!
