Alright--I looked into the Xerox situation. Seems like a lousy case on their part, unless they've evidence that someone stole Unistroke code and Palm/USRobotics/3Com/Palm used it in its design.

Either way, it seems there'll be a new market for on-screen graffiti-type software, whether G1 or G2. Perhaps my probs had more to do with "Graffiti Anywhere" than they did with G2. If I recall, I was never once able to draw an "i", a "-", or create a blank space. Very aggravating. But at least I didn't go cross-eyed after 5 min entering info using this program + Treo keypad (vs Centro's smaller keypad).

Having the Centro now for a week, I love it EXCEPT the keys are a bit tiny. I would so love to have Grafitti 1 again. I ran the Grafitti Anywhere program for a little while on my previous Palm (Treo 650) but couldn't break my G1 habits from prior 3 Palms, nor learn how to do some G2 letters to begin with.

What's this Xerox thing, Ryan? If it's a copyright issue, I can't imagine the co would shirk benefits--and some small dividends--they'd get from another party's (re)development of this super-useful program. Especially now, while this newest Palm can cause severe finger cramping with any extensive data entry!

Hi Baalthazaar,

IMHO, palm can't put Graffiti 1 on the devices due to the whole lawsuits with Xerox thing.
The exact quote was either G1 or none, so I'd have to say that the centro wouldn't have any graffiti

Did that actually say "Graffiti 1"? Are they finally making a sensible regression? I didn't think that they'd ever go back to Graffiti 1.
