I have had PowerDigi on my T3 for 2 years & it's still working fine. He is an awesome developer &
I am very grateful for his intelligence & willingness to develop software for those of us who use the older Palms.
He is a gift to us!!

Thanks Dimitry,

I have installed powerdigi on my T3, but I am having problems, and I hope SOMEONE can help me out...

When I tap on the PowerDigi icon, it opens the app, no problem. When I tell it to calibrate, it tells me that I need to open the slider. All is well so far... tap, tap, tap.. etc... except that the keyboard is still showing.

Once I get low enough on the screen that the next row of targets would appear lower on the screen than the keyboard, I get an arrow at the top edge of the keyboard, pointing down, telling me that I am supposed to tap 62 pixels (or something close to 62, I don't recall exactly) below the arrow! The target won't show up, because the keyboard is in the way. I have tried everything I can think of, including a hard reset, all to no avail. Help?!?

Does anyone know which version of PowerDigi would be suitable for a PalmOne ZIRE 31?
It is not listed in the install file.

Well, if I can figure out why I'm paying this guy via PayPal for software (uncache and powerdigi) that he never delivers then perhaps I can add something to the discussion beyond I have trialed his stuff. I have a TX that's "new" yet the digitizer is poor. I found PowerDiGi to be somewhat of an improvement over the TX's own digitizer but even PowerDigi drifts away over the course of a day.

Yes, that is true. My 4th TX started getting drift shortly after I got it, and PowerDiGi extended its usefulness for about 5-6 months. Some people tell me that PowerDiGi extended their device by 2 Months, 1 Year, or even longer - 2 years. But over time, they all succumb to dead spots (or at least the vast majority). I suppose it depends on the individuals usage patterns and how good the digitizer was in the first place.

@Brent Chiodo:

Not necessarily. My LifeDrive has been running on PowerDiGi for more than a year now, and no dead spots still. I would guess that dome digitizers will develop them, while others will not. In any case PowerDiGi can squeeze a few months (maybe years) out of a normally-useless digitizer.

I know this problem from my old Palm V. They often had the issue of a "mad digitizer" because some hardware misconception. There were some programs which could solve that problem, but after some time the digitizer was competely broken and needed to be replaced. If I remember correctly. I'll report how it will work on my Tungsten C.

I've had about 5 different TX's and they have all developed digitizer drift within a couple months or even less, and PowerDiGi corrected them all. It should be noted however, that PowerDiGi tends to be more a temporary solution, because the way the plastic digitizers are designed. Over time the drift can get so severe that taps are not recognized, and this is called a "dead spot", and no software can fix that (they get worse and worse until the device is unusable).
