After months of tedious work, I am proud to tell you that I finally did find the “bug” that prevented AutoSync from working on Treo handhelds. Cutting a long story short – the device did not update the SysBatteryInfo status cache before broadcasting the dock/undock notification. However, a workaround has been found – and I am proud to present you the first-ever public beta with Treo support.

It can now do the following:

  • Adjust brightness/IR status/sounds dependent on ducked/undocked state
  • Enables “Stay on in cradle” feature for all devices, can also use custom offtimes
  • NEW: Now asks before syncing on dock
  • NEW: Timed syncer
  • NEW: supports wireless hotsync

Please download the application from here and let us know how it went!

  1. Hmm, I wonder if this bug is similar to the problem with Lightspeed, related to why the 755p and the Centro get the fake low battery warning, which leads the the app then counting down and exiting.

  2. Hi,
being honest – I can’t quite see how these errors are related ;)

    But thanks for talking back

  3. I am a registered user of AutoSync purchased via Palmgear a while ago now. I have recently come back to Palms getting a Treo 680 – I notice this app is called Perfect Dock – am I eligible to get this upgrade or do I need to repurchase?

  4. Hi,
generally yes – I have already sent you an email!

    All the best

  5. Hello,

This isn’t directly about the beta. I was looking for an AutoSync that would work with Bluetooth on a Centro so I downloaded the beta yesterday to see if it would work. When I installed it and ran it on the Centro, PefectDock informed me that the evaluation period was over – even though I’ve never installed this app before – thus making it impossible to test for bluetooth functionality.

Can you let me know if PerfectDock will hotsync using bluetooth on a Centro? Or can you let me know how to get even a 20 minute demo so I can find out for myself?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

    Cheers, Ken

  6. Hi,
email out in a few minutes!

  7. Same question … can PerfectDock be used to sync via BlueTooth? I downloaded the trial software from this site (Version 1.1) and it didn’t seem to support that.

    Thanks,

    Jay
