MSI’s Wind U100 was covered on TamsPalm quite a bit in the past – while I am more than happy with the three hours of battery life provided by the light standard battery, Geoffrey Farinha apparently was not. He somehow got his hands on a huge 9-cell battery for the machine (the regular high-capacity battery has but 6 cells), and posted an unboxing and a first-impressions video to YouTube (below).

I personally feel that this is not what I personally need – for me, the MSI Wind U100 is great because of its insane portability. As the 9-cell battery hangs out of the device by quite a bit (and also weighs more), the excellent portability of the machine would largely be wasted…which means that I can go for a full 15″ laptop.

Three hours is more than enough for me – I am afraid that this is one upgrade which I will have to pass… . So far so good – the vidoes are here:
