UIQscrapbook StyleTap for S60 releasedPalm OS users wanting to ditch the sinking ship commonly known as Palm OS Garnet (now doomed for real due to the pre) can now bring their applications onto S60 and UIQ devices!

StyleTap for S60/UIQ has just been released and can be downloaded from here. The product costs a rather steep 50$, but discounts will likely become available from various analysts as soon as the product hits their Mobihand-powered stores.

Feature-wise, the program is a 1:1 copy of the Windows Mobile one except for a new screen renderer (pictured on the left):

StyleTap for Symbian also offers a different approach. Instead of starting with a 160×160 single density screen that is scaled up to a 240×320 screen, StyleTap instead tells the Palm application that it’s running with a 320×320 double density screen. Then it uses graphical techniques to scale the 320×320 screen down to the 240×240 size that can be displayed on the physical screen.
