I can offer the following two theories ordered by their likeliness:
We are looking at a WebOS skin
The final version of Palm’s Pre lacks a Global Find button (the original Compal design still had one, which means that Palm failed to complete it in time) and has different application icons. Thus, we are likely looking at the first images of a product which emulates the WebOS look&feel on existing Palm OS devices.
We are looking at a WebOS Centro
The Centro’s form factor is one of the few successes Palm has had as of late…which means that they are very unlikely to give up on it. A WebOS Centro is thus very likely in the works as I type this (the OS can be tested on current-gen hardware except for the multitouch) – the question is if the images above are the real thing…
Either way, this is cool news – stay tuned for further info as we get it!

This is Great stuff. Do you think it will work on Treo 680 if this ever becomes available?
Someone with photoshop, too much time and a strange sense of humor, more likely.

I just installed Tealpoint’s TealOS. It works pretty well. I sent them a few suggestions though:
I am evaluating TealOS on my ATT Treo 650.
Great app. I have been using LauncherX for over 2 years on my phone. I tried your TealLaunch before, but did not find it as useful or pleasing. This new TealOS is simply amazing though, and I admire how smoothly it runs with my devices resources, how pleasing it looks, and how stable it is. As a very pleased registered LauncherX user, I have a few suggestions on TealOS.
1. More information available at top of screen on home page
While I love the Pre style layout on top, many users (myself included) have to religiously watch their free internal data space. If you could allow users to choose what to display at the top it would be great. In Launcher X, you can toggle between percentage of memory remaining or actual MB remaining.
2. Allow mixed categories between card and internal apps
Many users have applications installed on their SD card to save internal space, and we would like to be able to categorize those applications just as if they were in the internal memory. I find myself going back to Launcher X to quickly find the app I need. Fortunately, with the Teal OS quick launch bar, I have my old launcher set as one of the buttons. In the meantime, I will use the keyboard to seek for the apps I need.
3. Allow apps installed on card to be available on Quick Launch bar and Wave Launcher
Every single app that runs properly from SD card is loaded to my SD card, to save internal space. But some of these apps I use all the time, and it would be nice to be able to list these apps on the Quick Launch and Wave Launcher.
4. Improve performance of loading apps from card
My Olive Tree Biblereader takes 2-3 times longer to load on TealOS than with LauncherX. I don’t know how, but I assume that with the excellent work on such a responsive and slick launcher app you have made, you can find a way to make apps launch faster from SD card.
5. Cache Card Apps Database
It takes quite a while for TealOS to perform the Building Card Apps Database every time I take the SD card out and put it back in. Is there any way to make TealOS scan for changes instead or rebuilding the database every time?
Excellent product! I look forward to registering this application to use as my main launcher. This is just what I needed to hold me over till I can get my hands on a UMTS Palm Pre.
Actully this Is tealOS it was discontinued march 30 2008 but some websites still offer it.It is a free trial prob
