Palm and Sprint employees must have had a difficult life recently: tech journalists all over the world have been extremely interested in the – so far unannounced – release date of the Palm Pre.
First of all, PreThinking reports that Sprint employees have already begun their Pre-related training:
“I would like to inform that Sprint is in the process of providing the training for the new Palm Pre. Once it’s launched, Sprint will be ready to serve their valued customers regarding the Palm Pre.”
Secondly, Engadget reports that Sprint has placed a holiday block for retail employees for all of May…which means that the Pre could drop around this time.
From my point of view, especially #1 gives reason for hope. These employees playing around with Pre devices are likely to uncover one or the other bug…which could help Palm avoid all kinds of embarrassing errors if the correct feedback systems are in place.
Either way, Palm better launch the Pre soon. If rumors about Apple planning a June release are true, the boys in Orange need more than one caffeine tablet…
