Apple’s decision to eliminate Pre syncing with the latest version of iTunes was quite surprising – but more on that later.

In the meantime, I just wanted to share the little blurb below which hits my inbox via Jackie Macapanpan at Mark/Space:

The blogosphere is buzzing with news of iTunes 8.2.1 and how it no longer allows Palm Pre to sync with iTunes on the Mac.

We want to make sure you know that The Missing Sync for Palm Pre continues to work with the latest version of iTunes. In fact, The Missing Sync product family has worked with iTunes to sync and transfer music, podcasts and ringtones between a Mac or PC and smartphones – from companies such as Palm, RIM and HTC – for years. Mark/Space uses APIs provided by Apple to properly and validly access music in iTunes. And it’ll work when we release the PC version of The Missing Sync for Palm Pre, as well.
