close slider end call Reject calls via the Pres sliderPalm’s Tungsten T, T2 and T3 handhelds were famous for their sliders: slide the box open, and it starts up. Slide it shut, and it shuts off. Don’t ask me why Palm omitted this feature from the Pre: while the box allows you to take a call by sliding it open, getting rid of an annoying caller still requires some touchscreen action.

Fortunately, an independent developer has fixed just that – PreCentral reports the following:

… the ability to hang up on a call simply by closing the slider. It’s much more satisfying to end an angry call by slamming that slider shut than tapping a touchscreen. You can already answer calls by sliding your Pre open, now you can end them in the way that seems most intuitive: sliding the darn thing closed.
