Ever since HP bought Palm, users wondered themselves about how a webOS-enabled printer would look.

HP has now accidentally leaked the PhotoSmart eStation C510. This 399$ device is pictured below; one can clearly see the tablet:

Unfortunately, the web site didn’t mention webOS anywhere – so we’ll have to wait until the box drops to find out whether it can run third-party apps…

  1. I couldn’t understand the point of a WebOS enabled printer until now. Direct printing of photos from facebook , flicker, etc may be of interest to some people – not me. Uploads could also be done from network connected or bluetooth devices through the printer. If it has a card reader like my current HP printers do pics could also be sent from or retrieved to inserted media. Scan and print direct to the cloud … Hmm… Interesting capabilities that don’t make me feel the urge to replace my current printers, but if the need arose and the price dropped I might look into such a gadget.

  2. Hi Scott,
being able to print from the phone would be a worthwile benefit to me – but I would think about documents rather than photos.

Let’s see how it all evolves, and thanks for talking back!
