HP’s decision to use webOS instead of Windows has probably raised quite a few heads at Microsoft’s – while most of Microsoft’s other hardware partners have deployed at least a token Windows Phone, HP npow gives up on another Microsoft product.
WorldWideGadget reports the following:
Allen Buckner, Marketing Manager for the former Home Server Group, gave the news in a phone conference earlier this month, saying only that HP was “shifting additional resources to focus on webOS initiatives”

It would be interesting only if you could set up your WebOS device/phone to sync to this server instead of the Palm Server. I do not like the idea of my important information residing on someone else’s server.

I am not sure whether Palm would allow this. Of course, it would make sense for many users including you and me – but it would also force Palm (HP) to give us access to its server software.
