In the times of Palm OS, the platform was praised for the huge number of available third-party apps. webOS has not been so lucky so far.

MobileCrunch now reports the following:

Just shy of three months later, webOS has now passed 5,000 apps, no flubbing required.

Not much to add here – except that Windows Phone 7 has hit the same number a few days ago…
